With the spirit of "We Can Do It!" Karen has given her best work to Sound Options along with her stability, dependability, and consistency.
Today we offer our gratitude for that loyalty and honor her 20 years of service to Sound Options! Karen and I were buddies from the Pierce County Health Dept. working as public health nurses and then as Community Health Nurses at Group Health providing Medicare Home Health and Hospice. Karen was the second employee hired at Sound Options. As I think back, Karen was taking a leap of faith that Sound Options was going to be a viable organization.
Karen understood the service we were creating as it was a variation on what we provided for clients at the Health Department. We were holistic in our approach and passionate about home care. So the journey began and Karen has shared in the celebrations and sacrificed in the challenges of a small company. She has laughed and cried with me through the years.
Karen Allard is part of the very fiber that is the strength of Sound Options. She is part of the essence of what makes us strong and have a great reputation. Her ultimate skills and desires were in working with her clients and their families. And that is where she excels. She is a strong advocate for them. I have heard her time and time again on the phone offer support, empathy, and common sense suggestions to her clients. Many of them rely on her and she has a strong fan club from the attorneys and guardians in our community. They particularly lean on Karen to coordinate those tough family situations.
I have great respect and admiration for Karen. She has given so much to Sound Options and her clients. She has coordination down to a science. And she does not waiver from her ethics, values and standards. Inside the company she has always been an advocate for her co-workers and shares her ideas to make the culture better. She believes and lives the mission of the company. For this and so much more I thank you Karen.
