March Caregiver of the Month

Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Elizabeth Njuguna.

For the past 6 years, Elizabeth Njuguna has been a faithful employee of Sound Options and an exemplary caregiver. Born in Kenya, Elizabeth moved to the United States in 2000 and began working as a caregiver for Sound Options in 2007. To Elizabeth, a good caregiver is someone who is observant and attentive to the client’s needs and meets them all with great care and kindness. “My heart is in the care I give,” she said. “One day, I know I’ll grow old and someone will take care of me. I like to make a difference, to life spirits and get a smile.” According to Julie Williams, RN Care Manager for Sound Options, “Elizabeth is so skilled at navigating difficult situations and challenging family dynamics. She gives a high level of care and is able to motivate clients to do what is best for them. Elizabeth always keeps me informed and I can trust and depend on her to be my eyes and ears. She does everything with excellence from housekeeping, to cooking nutritious meals, to keeping the clients active with outings. I feel privileged every time I get to work with her.”

Elizabeth’s work exemplifies her values and embodies the model of caregiving Sound Options wants for all our clients. We commend you for the quality of your service, thank you for your deep loyalty, and appreciative your attitude and perspective.
