Lynette Boger, RN

We are happy to announce that after graduating with her RN degree, Lynette Boger has accepted a position with Sound Options as a Geriatric Care Manager. Lynette was born and raised in a little   German town in Mobridge, South Dakota. Her father was German and her mother was Native American from the Lakota Sioux Tribe. She comes from a big family with 7 brothers and sisters. She met her husband in Washington state and has been married for 18 years. They have a son and a daughter who are active in school and athletics.

At 16, she joined a DECA program at school and they placed her in a local nursing home as a caregiver. She moved to Federal Way later in life to be closer to her sister. Her first job in Washington was as a caregiver. After 10 years, when she was 29, she decided to further her career and went back to school. She received her LPN and worked in an Assisted Living Facility for 7 years. Lynette didn’t stop there though. She was ready to go further in her career and she took a part time job, finished her prerequisites and entered an RN program. On March 20, 2013 she graduated from South Seattle College. Lynette plans to take a 6 month break and then go on to apply to the University of Washington Tacoma to earn her BSN.

While completing her RN, she has been assisting with home care assessments at Sound Options. Lynette said, “I have enjoyed everyone here at Sound Options. I have worked my way from the bottom up in the health care industry and I want to continue as far as I can, no matter how long it takes.”

We are impressed with Lynette for many reasons, but among them are her tenacity, her willingness to rise to any challenge, and the passion that drives her work. Her great sense of humor and work ethic make her a joy to work with and an incredible  asset to the Sound Options team. We are privileged to have her on the team. If you see her in the field, please welcome her!
