Sound Options’ CEO and President, Mary Lynn Pannen, is one of the nation’s leading experts on Geriatric Care Management and Home Care for seniors and individuals with complex and wide- ranging needs. A natural outgrowth of her work as a Registered Nurse (RN), certified care manager, and private consultant for nursing, geriatrics, and medical legal reviews, Mary Lynn based her vision for Sound Options on her more than thirty-five years of hands-on experience working as an advocate for patients and families. Since its founding in 1989, she has grown the company into the largest private elder care management company in Washington State.
Mary Lynn is a well-known and resourceful voice on elder-care issues. Actively contributing to her community, she has sat on advisory boards, authored articles, presented at conferences, and conducted interviews on numerous elder care and care management topics. Her expertise and passion for quality care has made her a sought-after speaker and advisor on both the local and national level. As a member of the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers since 1990, she has sat on the board and served as president of this prestigious organization. At their national conference she was awarded the 2008 Adele Elkind award for distinguished professional service in Geriatric Care Management. Locally, she is an active volunteer, a member of Tacoma Rotary Club and has also been the featured speaker for professional organizations and corporations that integrate the Sound Options’ Worklife program into their employee benefit packages.
Antoinnette has a strong background in business and operations management, care management, and marketing and sales. Prior to joining Sound Options, Antoinnette was Director and Certified Care Manager for Aging Options. In this capacity, she managed care managers and resource specialists, developed and mentored professional staff, and facilitated a variety of business operations including raising community awareness through public seminars. As a Care Manager, she was actively involved in developing comprehensive care plans and oversaw advocacy and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Prior to her position with Aging Options, she worked as a Geriatric Case Manager for Western State Hospital implementing discharge plans, directing community research for housing, and preparing court treatment plans and crisis triage and intervention. She holds a Masters in Health Administration with a focus on Gerontology from Chapman University in California and a B.A. in Law and Psychology from Central Washington University and a certification as a Practical Nurse from Clover Park Technical College.
Eric brings an expertise in staffing, a clear understanding of marketing, and hands on experience in home care management to the Sound Options team. As Director of Homecare, Eric plans, directs, and coordinates all homecare services and staffing. Dedicated to ensuring our clients receive the highest quality of care, Eric helps Sound Options articulate our commitment to helping the families we serve. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing team, Eric helps develop and implement marketing strategies for the Homecare department. Able to team build, Eric contributes to the circle of care that includes clients, families, client advocates and home care staff.
Prior to joining Sound Options Eric was General Manager/Care Supervisor for a major healthcare firm in the Northwest as well as a Health Recruiter/Care Coordinator. In his work in the healthcare field, he has managed over 100 healthcare professionals, supervised recruiters, organized team-building exercises and ran the largest flu program in the state of Washington, providing more than 35,000 vaccinations. He also worked as an Account Executive for Entercome Radio where he managed accounts in the communications arena. Eric holds a BA in Communications from Washington State University.
Nancy brings her talent for numbers and organization to the business end of Sound Options. Responsible for payroll, client billing, as well as tax preparation, she oversees the flow of cash and maintains all department budgets. Additionally, Nancy generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly care management, home care, and WorkLife statistics and ensures all employee records are accurate and up-to-date. Eager to explore new avenues of efficiency and improved systems, Nancy's expertise and creative approach to business contributes to the sound running and fiscal health of all aspects of Sound Options.
Prior to joining with Sound Options, Nancy worked as an accountant with Macau Casino, LLC where she was responsible for tracking and posting journal entries and cash reconciliations. She also prepared financial statements, processed payrolls and handled all activities in accounts payable and receivable as well as performing audits on cage paperwork, foods, beverages, gaming and pull-tab revenues. Before working at Macau Casino, LLC, Nancy was an Accounting Manager for Stars Casino LLC - North Star Casino, Sea-Tac WA and a Tax Preparer for the American Association of Retired People, Tacoma WA and was a Financial Aid Office Assistant at Tacoma Community College in Tacoma WA. Nancy holds a Bachelors of Art in Accounting from the University of Washington.
Rachel’s role at Sound Options involves full cycle recruitment for all departments as well as new hires, trainings, and benefits administration. Rachel’s philosophy for Human Resources is to create a culture of accountability, health, and fun. When employees feel enriched, motivated, and healthy, they can truly provide the highest quality of care for Sound Option’s clients. Additionally, Rachel coordinates and administers employee benefits packages and has been responsible for increased caregiver retention by creating and implementing new benefits.
Prior to working with Sound Options, Rachel interned for the U.S. Department of Energy Human Resources Department where she worked directly with top management to determine staff performance goals and implement performance plans. She was actively involved in the selection process of more than fifty vacancies and participated in job fairs and advertising relating to hiring for the department.
Rachel graduated from the University of Idaho with her B.S. in Management and Human Resources. She graduated Summa Cum Laude at the top of her class and was a recipient of the Human Resources Senior of the Year award. Rachel is actively involved in the Washington State Association of Health Care Recruiters as well as SHRM.
