CEO Wins Prestigious Care Management Award
Tacoma, WA (May 5, 2009) – Washington-based Sound Options CEO Mary Lynn Pannen received the Adele Elkind award at the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM) Conference in Chicago on April 23, 2009. This award is presented to a NAPGCM member who embodies the spirit of Adele Elkind, a NAPGCM founding member and care management pioneer.
Ms. Pannen was given this award by a committee comprised of her peers. Candidates for the award must have demonstrated his/her commitment to the advancement of the field of professional geriatric care management through his/her professional contributions and leadership role. She must also demonstrate an exemplary provision of care management services that adhere to the highest professional standards.
“As our population ages the importance of professional care management grows stronger,” comments Mary Lynn. “This organization is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the industry so that our elderly are not taken advantage of by others.”
Last November, NAPCGM presented Ms. Pannen with the Rose Kleiner award for her pioneering spirit and innovation in the industry and for starting her company in Tacoma almost 20 years ago. Sound Options will celebrate its 20th anniversary this August, 2009.
