APRIL Caregiver of the Month

Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Cindy George!

Cindy is a native to Washington State. At just 15 years old, she started her career as a caregiver working in a nursing home. This work was a natural outgrowth of her deep care for others. She knew Vice President of Operations, Bob Beckham, from a past job at a research company and when she heard about Sound Options she came to work for us in October of 2014.

When asked what makes a good caregiver she said, “It comes down to one simple word: compassion.”

You can see that empathetic value infuses her own work with clients. When Cindy is not working you will find her sewing and making baby stuff for grandbabies. Enjoying time with grandkids and her family is the most important thing to her and brings her a lot of life and joy.

According to Home Care Supervisor, Rebecca Herrick, “Cindy has impacted one of our client’s lives in particular. She has introduced food that  helped with nutrition as well as brought “life” and “spark” back to this client. Cindy has really gained her trust and had such a positive influence. She is genuine and a wonderful caregiver. I have watched this client “transform” under the influence of Cindy.”

Thank you for the way you invite life for your clients and care for them where they are at. Brava!
