Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified or Registered Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Promise Khan.
Promise Khan grew up in Washington State and is very independent, living and working on her own since she was 17 years old. She started working in security, but would soon take a cue from her mother, Kathy Gaeth. Kathy was in Home Care since she was 18 years old and Promise said, “She embedded in me the morals and ethics of Home Care”. Promise absolutely loves taking care of people that are unable to care for themselves and considers it a privilege. “It makes me happy knowing that I’ve made someone’s life easier”, she said. When asked what makes a good caregiver, Promise answered, “a good heart. They have to be compassionate, have a good sense of humor, and an overall understanding of people.” Keeping the profession in the family, both Promise’s mother and sister, Lillian Khan, work as incredible caregivers for Sound Options.
When Promise is not working you will find her outdoors, walking the beach or out camping with her animals that she loves. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats that have captured her heart. Promise’s motto is to live life to the fullest. Not only does she do that, but she assists our clients in doing the same. As a caregiver, Promise is so accommodating. She is our go-to-girl who is willing to do whatever is needed and do it with a degree of excellence. She is a pure pleasure to work with and we thank you for all you do and the way you do it!
