Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Monica Kiarie!
The oldest of 7 children, Monica Kiarie is originally from Kenya. She now has 4 children of her own and 8 grandchildren. Monica is one proud grandma! In 2012, she first started as a CNA because she likes taking care of people who are unable to help themselves. When asked what makes a good caregiver she said, “You must have a warm heart, remember that you are not working for yourself, and genuinely like to help people.”
When she is not working you will find her spending time with her grandchildren, going on walks, shopping, and enjoy her church community. Thank you Monica for your compassionate heart and the selflessness that you exhibit in your work. You are a real gift to our clients and fill a great need in their lives. According to Home Care Supervisor Rebecca Herrick, “Monica’s dependability and reliability are outstanding. She has a genuine care for our clients and goes above and beyond to help them.” We appreciate the way you carry out the mission and values of Sound Options!
