Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Pam Gasper!
Born in Eugene, Oregon, Pam Gasper has been a caregiver for over 20 years. When asked why she still loves what she does she said, “It’s fulfilling work. I love working with people and I genuinely enjoy my clients and helping them.” We asked Pam to reflect on what makes a good caregiver and she responded with three basics every caregiver needs:
1. Have compassion
2. Be a good listener
3. Love what you do
It’s clear to see that Pam has these qualities in abundance. When Pam isn’t working, you’ll find her at the ocean or taking short trips with her family. She adores her grandkids. Pam has 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson and a new grandbaby on the way! She plans on taking her granddaughters to Disneyland in April as a birthday surprise! “I live for my family and I’m so proud of them,” she said.
“Pam is a dedicated caregiver with the utmost compassion,” said Home Care Supervisor, Rebecca Herrick. “She has a gentle nature with all the patience in the world!” Pam Gasper started work with Sound Options back in 2005 and will celebrate her 10 year anniversary with the company in October!
What a treasure you are Pam. We are so grateful for your loyalty and your consistent, compassionate care. We are honored to have you on the Sound Options team. Thank you not just for all you do but for the way you do it.
