Sound Options believes that exceptional care begins with exceptional employees. Each month, we highlight and share the story of one of our Certified Nursing Assistants who carries out the mission and values of Sound Options with professionalism, intelligence, and heart. This month, we shine the spotlight on Rahab Muthaki.
Rahab Muthaki was born and raised in Kenya. In caring for her great-grandmother, who lived to be 105, she remembers witnessing other healthcare workers not treating their clients with care. “I knew I wanted to make a difference,” she said, “It has to come from your heart. It is not just a job. It has to be in you to want to help others.”
In 2009, Rahab moved to Atlanta, Georgia and in July of 2009, she made her way to Washington State for a great job opportunity and for a change in weather! When she is not working you will find Rahab watching a good movie or going out for a run. A lover adventure, she also enjoys traveling and exploring. Rebecca Herrick, Home Care Supervisor said, “I love Rahab’s enthusiasm. She is always so happy and warm. It makes our clients feel very comfortable while she is providing the utmost care. She is an all-around fantastic caregiver!”
Clinical Manager of Care Management, Amby Matheny, also said, “Rahab recently handled a very difficult emergency with a client with such strength and professionalism. She was a huge support for the client and went above and beyond to make sure that the client was well taken care of.” Thank you Rahab for the way you have raised the bar in healthcare and the deep heart that drives all of your wonderful work.
