Odie Bacon, RN-BC, CCM, BSN, MSN
Odie Bacon earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governor’s University of Washington. She is a Board-Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse and a Certified Case Manager. Odie is interested in how to effectively improve individual’s behaviors and built-in environments to prevent and manage chronic diseases. Odie provides individual, customized care that caters to all aspects of her clients - centered on the body, mind and spirit.
Lisa Baril, LPN
Lisa graduated from Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences as a Licensed Practicing Nurse. She believes that when caring for someone, thinking of the whole person is most important. Lisa’s philosophy of care is that true wellness is not achieved by medical care alone, but through healing relationships that speak to people's minds, bodies and spirits.
Jenny Dooley, RN
Jenny Dooley earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University. She has over 20 years of nursing experience, working with clients in the hospital setting as well as in Geriatrics, Home Health and Hospice (including Palliative Care). Jenny specializes in creating a client-centered plan by incorporating the management of chronic illnesses, creative problem solving and the enhancement of one’s quality of life.
Jill Jones, BSN, RN
Jill Jones earned her Bachelor's of Nursing Science from Western Governor's University. Her clinical experience includes hospice and palliative nursing, as well as inpatient medical, surgical, and oncology nursing, serving patients with a wide range of chronic and acute conditions and coordinating post hospitalization care. Jill applies her advanced symptom management expertise to solve complicated medical situations. Her goal is to plan how individuals can live their best lives - promoting well-being, peace of mind, prevention, and in-place support in order to cope with any situation.
Krista Koval, BA
Krista graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Human Development, including Aging studies and a certificate in Gerontology. She has over 6 years of experience working as a Social Services Director in skilled nursing. Krista is passionate in working with the elderly. She assists in decision-making and provides support and relief to families by utilizing her network of local resources. She continually looks for different ways to help her clients.
Jenifer Nazarowski, LICSW
Jenifer completed her undergraduate studies at Pacific Lutheran University and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University. Early in her career, she worked with CPS coordinating adoptions and working with individuals who have developmental needs. More recently, her experience includes Hospital (ER), Home Health, Hospice and counseling geriatric patients during crisis situations. Jenifer is a strong advocate and enjoys assisting families and clients – navigating them through the barriers and obstacles of healthcare.
Janet Pomeroy, MSW
Janet has over 15 years of experience as a Medical Social Worker, assisting clients and families with their medical, social and care needs. Janet earned her Master’s in Social Work from University of Georgia and offers a comforting and supportive style when working with her clients. She is able to find creative solutions and resources to challenging situations, with a focus on increasing a sense of wellness, reducing stress and honoring each individual’s unique life journey.
Laurie Thompson, LMHCA
Laurie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate and behavior consultant for Washington State, local facilities and private clients in our community. As a member of the South Sound Alzheimer’s Council, she is an active advocate for families throughout Thurston, Mason and Grays Harbor counties. Laurie is passionate about walking with clients through their entire journey and navigating the unique experiences that come along the way. She works with clients that are in transition and facilitates support groups for older adults. Laurie meets with families to consult about placement, treatment options, family problem solving and other areas related to aging.
Laura Vaillancourt, LMHC, GMHS
Laura is a leader in the field of aging in the South Sound area. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Geriatric Mental Health Specialist and Geriatric Care Manager. After recognizing a need for Care Management services in the Olympia area, she opened Eldercare Counseling and Guidance Services from 2013 to 2018, later to merge her practice with Sound Options. Laura has extensive experience providing counseling, coaching and guidance to families that are in the midst of making difficult decisions related to their loved one’s care. Her passion and much of her experience has been working with individuals and family members that have been affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Laura is known for her gentle nature, her ability to explain and educate families and health care professionals about sensitive and complicated issues, and presenting at speaking engagements. She enjoys the opportunity to serve families in discovering the next steps of their journey towards caring for a loved one.
Tarra Vega, RN
Tarra’s experience in community nursing, homecare and long-term care allows her to provide valuable insight, focusing on improving patient outcomes after discharge and decreasing re-hospitalization rates. She studied Geriatric and Palliative Care at the University of Washington and her passion to help others became a motivation for her to advance her career in nursing. In 2012 and 2013, she was awarded the Extraordinary Home Health Achievement Award, recognizing her work in treating disabled veterans and educating the community on preventative care.
Jessica Wiley, BSN, RN
Jessica graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has over 10 years of medical experience providing nursing care, managing chronic diseases and educating individuals in various clinical settings. Jessica is honored to work with the older adult population; she respects their dignity and right to safe, quality care. She strives to advocate for individuals and collaborate with their loved ones to create a plan of care that focuses on the biological, psychological and social aspects of one’s life. Her mission is to help clients achieve the highest sense of health and overall wellness.
